Not only do we believe in effective sun skincare and protection, we also believe in high quality sustainable production. The design and manufacturing of the Barleyboo garments and Safe Face sunscreen is all New Zealand based – using local manufacturers to reduce air miles and C0₂ emissions.

Barleyboo Swim & Go beach dress garments are made from sustainably harvested organic cotton.

Our Safe Face sunscreen incorporates Totoral™ sourced from the majestic New Zealand Totara tree – which is not only organic but also has anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial qualities. The unique combination of ingredients makes this sunscreen suitable to protect even the most sensitive of skin.

We do not use toxic chemicals, waste materials, excess packaging… and we promote versatility and durability.

Although we are small in global terms, together we can make a big difference!
